FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhy does Camp Ashreinu start on a Tuesday? The earliest date our counselors are available to start working is on Tuesday. Camp Ashreinu is a 6-week program and hires staff based on that. It is difficult for the Camp and the programming when campers are not registered for the full-summer. Camp understands that travel plans and sleep-away camp may prevent 6-week enrollment, so weekly enrollment is offered. However, to ensure the smoothness of the camp and that adequate staff is hired, the following policies have been established: If I am paying by the week, is the fee the same for the first week, Tues. July 2nd until Friday, July 5th? Yes, those dates comprise Week One. If I am paying by the week, can I start the week from any Camp day (ie. Wednesday to Tuesday)? No. The camp week is from Monday – Friday, regardless of how many actual camp days are in that week. Can I change the amount of weeks my child attends in the middle of the summer? During the summer, the Camp is very busy operating a wonderful program. It is very challenging to accommodate last minute registration changes. If any changes are made post May 1st, there will be an additional $100 late fee (on top of other late fees) per change. Is the non-refundable deposit transferable to another child? No. Once Camp receives registration forms, it then ensures and plans for adequate staff accordingly. If you “pull-out” your child, Camp is left with extra staff that needs to be paid regardless. Is there Camp on the 17th of Tammuz and 9th of Av? No Is there Camp on July 4th? YES!!
